Our countries fiscal impact of addiction related costs last year alone was more than $400 Billion dollars.  This cost is a reflection social ills/consequences of a lack of treatment and preventions services.  One of the great barriers for addicts, is the stigma of being an addict, the shame and misunderstanding my those in their communities.  Substance abuse is not a moral failing but a public health crisis in the Untied States. National agenda's and models for reducing the impact communities face,  are outlined in the "National Treatment Plan" Initiative.  HopeNetworks, is building a "comprehensive services" support network for all who utilize services, and contribute efforts in reducing the impact addiction has on addicts, families, and the communities they live in.  HopeNetworks utilizes technology resources to establish and strengthen collaboration among communities; at the Federal, State, local, and tribal levels of government as well as private/ nonprofit agencies.
