Please Act now...your e-mail to these Senate Judiciary B Committee members will help us establish the first statewide alcohol crisis helpline in Louisiana, and see that this toll free helpline is posted in locations that choose to sell alcohol.  We have made progress with your help, the House Committee and the Full House have passed HB 755, now we need your help to carry us to the finish line!  On the Senate side--before this bill becomes our first real statewide law offering hope to those suffering and in need.

Please e-mail, call, these members if you can't be at the hearing on June 14th to support HB 755------If possible plan to attend tomorrow morning--we need to have you there--meet us at the Cafeteria at 8:30 a.m. at the Louisiana State Capital.  We will be passing out "Support 755" pins for you to wear, and you can choose to speak in favor, or to simply sign a card in support.

As you know this bill is  in memory of Corey Domangue, the son of recovering parents, who died from an alcohol overdose in 2003, Corey didn't know that too much alcohol could kill him, neither did his friends, just like millions in this country, and this helpline will encourage youth to seek help in alcohol crisis situations, just what Corey needed that night....we hope to see our efforts bring real change to save all young people from the predictable harms and deaths related to alcohol by providing a much needed resource and lifesaving measure across Louisiana.  We can't do this alone, and need your continued support, please take a few minutes and write those below and attend the hearing in the morning if possible.  If any of these members are your Senator, please take an extra step, an make a phone call to their offices (see numbers below--and yes your voices a voter in their district!!!)

 Corey's mom Tammy Domangue will be speaking, many in his family, his friends, and others who know firsthand the need for alcohol help-- becoming as prevalent as the problems we have known in our state will be their in support, according to our heroes Rep. Jack Smith and Carla Dartez, we need to have as much as possible to see this recovery pushed effort become law.
