We Fund Jails- But not Treatment? Claims that adequate funding
is not in place, despite the research showing:
Imagine if we locked up
Diabetics, Heart Patients, for being "ill" in public knowing that
there was a huge gap in treatment for their disease, and their
behaviors when untreated put many including themselves at risk of
injury and harm.
WE need your help to address the alcohol crisis in
our state-the consequences of virtually no funding for OAD is part
of the problem.
Many Bills filed on DWI proposing Jail over
Treatment.........A backwards step for Louisiana!
It appears that many of these bills do not address
the root cause of our alcohol impaired driving
crisis in this state.
We must address the need for treatment in an effort to
reduce harms to innocent people who also become
victim to our states treatment gap and lack of
services.
