Since there has been no increase in beer tax since 1947, I certainly do support bill #156 and #163. The state can certainly use the money for teacher raises and drug addiction treatment.

I am retired from the VA Medical Center and at the present time, President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 1736. I am on the Board of the Christian Women's Club of Alexandria. I strongly support House Bills 156 and 163. I will urge the legislators and all my friends to do the same.

As a concerned resident of Louisiana, I strongly support house bill #156 and #163. Having parents who were public school teachers in Louisiana for many years, I can certainly appreciate the contribution our school teachers make to our community through their work. Any salary increase would certainly be well deserved. Also, as someone in the field of Psychology, I am aware of the ongoing need for funding of programs to treat and assist those caught up in the terrible cycle of addiction. I feel the passing of #156 and #163 could only do positive things for Louisiana and those who live here.
