Hazelden is coordinating its efforts through HopeNetworks, a Louisiana-based organization working to put together people who need treatment with organizations willing to donate treatment services.

In addition, Hazelden’s Recovery Services Division provided the assistance of a doctoral-level social worker to help with the needs of evacuees relocated to St. Paul,

Minn. The employee helped in the establishment of a mental health resources center in the city.  More than 600 families used the facility before it finished its work last week.

The publishing arm of the Foundation, Hazelden Publishing and Educational Services, is offering to help groups, individuals and families recovering from addiction. The educational materials being donated by Hazelden include books, pamphlets, videos and curricula.

“As the largest publisher of recovery materials, Hazelden has a unique opportunity and responsibility to assist professionals in the area,” said Breyer.
