Alcohol Ordinance to serve Alcohol Outdoors is Ok'd by vote at council Although the ordinance passed, we did raise awareness about the
problems in this Baton Rouge, and are hopeful that new policy will pass
in continued efforts to reduce the harms in our community so many are
facing related to alcohol, addition we now have furthered our network
here within the Faith Community and we are grateful for their efforts to
stand alongside us in advocating for those who today, who are need of
help for existing problems related to alcohol.
Baton Rouge City Council meeting on 2/11/04 Information on
attending the
4pm- Call to
support addressing current needs related to alcohol consumption, prior
considering additional harms and risks by permitting alcohol to be
consumed outside in Downtown Baton Rouge.
Advocate Article on Proposed
Ordinance- Mayor Supports, and CCCC and MADD do not oppose.

address current problems prior to any change in existing alcohol
